Can't access the server from the server, but can from a different machine

Howdy,
Didn’t know where to post this so but here goes…

I have a windows 10 machine running PMS. I realized today that from that same machine, if I open Plex it just sits there searching for the server but never finds it. I tried reinstalling PMS but that had no effect. I happened to log into a second Plex account that I have from a different computer and that one could see the server just fine.

Anyone have any idea what the cause might be? The server can’t see itself but another laptop can see it. On the server, if I go to the config button, I see Web, Users, and Devices, bu no Server option. Not sure where to start.

1. Don’t use Edge as the web browser
2. Make sure that the web browser is logged into the same plex-tv account on every machine. It must be the same plex.tv account which is also used by the server.

Your web browsers are using a different plex.tv account than your server and your iOS device. You probably used ‘Login with Google’ Don’t. Logout and use ‘login with email’ supply the right email address and Plex password. If you cannot remember which email you used to set up the server, take a look into the Registry. The key PlexOnlineMail should contain a hint.
