So i accidently deleted the server/library on my dad’s synology NAS DS214Play which runs on DSM 6.2.4.
After this i couln’t add a library anymore. I searched all the forum’s for an answer, but nothing helped.
So last thing I tried was a new installation: I deleted the plex-server from the NAS. Removed the Plex map in the root and the plex map in the user account.
When reinstalling the latest version of plex, i can’t login with my dad’s account, however i can login with my own account. After logging in and log out myself, i can login with my dad’s account… Bus the adding libaries option is still not available.
I hope someone will have a solution, i tried everything for weeks.
Can you be local to the machine (same LAN) or are you remote through Synology?
Does the Plex shared folder exist at all or is everything gone?
If it exists, Can you manually stop Plex and make a ZIP file of the Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Logs directory and attach it here ?
I think this might be a case of the server not being claimed or claimed to the wrong account.
Do you realize this is a WAN (public) IP and not a LAN (private) IP ?

PMS isn’t going to let you do any setup without jumping through hoops because of this (the default internal security to prevent claiming if the server is publicly available)
You need to switch your LAN to be any one of the following (per RFC-1918)
10.x.x.x (usually a 255.255.255.0 netmask)
192.168.x.x
172.16.x.x → 172.31.x.x

So do i have to create another Ipadres? The nas is on 14.10.31.220. Should I change this to 10.14.31.220 and this would work? But the I have two change my router as well. So it will work with the DHCP-server.
Can you confirm that I can use: 10.14.31.220? With 255.255.255.0?
