I accept that, but in a month’s time we’ll be back in exactly the same position where I can’t change the email address on my main Plex account as it gives an ‘unknown error’ message.
So either way it’ll require a manual change from someone at Plex?
I’m having this same issue.. I had my Gmail Email linked to my lifetime Plex account.. now that Gmail account is no longer active I cannot sign in automatically..so I don’t know the pw..Chris at Plex support keeps emailing to “change my email” under account settings.. but the problem is I can’t even log in to make that change.. now what??
I have access to my account michael@mjware.dk, but I’m not able to change my admin password to another email. I also get til “An unknown error occured”.
I have 2-factor enable. I have unlink my google account. michael@mjware.dk is a google account and as Google is planning to migrate all G-Suite Legacy account into paid account, I have to move aware.

If there is no user name, create one (user name must be globally unique among all plex.tv users). Then try to change the email address again.
