Unable to find and re-claim server

Player Version#: 4.59.2

Yesterday when the Plex authorization servers were down I didn’t know what the issue was, so I restored a database backup. When that didn’t help, I removed the server from the Authorized Devices list with the intention of re-adding it, but now I’m unable to re-add the server at all.

I get no prompt to claim the server and there are actually no Server settings at all.

The only Setting now present are:

Account
Online Media Sources
Authorized Devices
Webhooks
Users & Sharing

[PLEX WEB]
General
Debug
Player

I’m on a Synology DS1520+, running the installed package, (not via Docker)

I’m accessing the Plex Media Server via the Synology IP address directly

I have tried un-installing and re-installing Plex Media Server. I have also tried removing the setting from preferences.xml (PlexOnlineHome, PlexOnlineMail, PlexOnlineToken, PlexOnlineUsername) and re-signing it, but still no luck finding my server.

What can I try to find and re-claim the server?

I followed all your steps and was able to re-claim the server.

Earlier I read somewhere renaming perferences.xml would result in starting fresh, which I didn’t think I wanted, but it’s only starting new in terms of some settings (mostly library shares)

I think I’m stuck in the same situation that you were. It sounds like you followed someone’s suggested steps and had success, but I can’t see what those steps were in this thread. Can you please post them here. Thanks in advance.

Is this DSM 6 or DSM 7 ? The procedures are somewhat different.
