Can't claim plex server on headless ubuntu

Server Version#: 1.40.0.7998-c29d4c0c8

I’m running on a headless Ubuntu 22.04.4.
Since some months I can’t use my plex server. I can’t simply Claim the server.
I’m trying to do so using putty tunnel, or even bash scripts, the result is the same I keep getting unauthorized.
I have deleted the entries from Preferences.xml, I’ve removed the server from the Account settings. But each time I try anew the same happens: I click on Claim, and the next thing I see is unauthorized.
If I try some shell scripts to claim the server I can see that the token and rest of the settings are written into Preferences.xml but it still doesn’t work.
I will provide logs if it is necessary (can’t do it right now), but I’ve used most of the methods written over the internet to no avail.

I’m experiencing another issue, related this time to installing plex, at some point of the installation process it just hangs for a minute or so (timeout?) during this time the processes are actually alive (I can access the instance), maybe this is related?

regards

Is your ubuntu server hosted at Hetzner by any chance?

If it is, then I am afraid you are out of luck as Plex have blocked servers hosted there

yes… what is the reason behind that is it permanent or only temporary?

nvm just googled it sorry
