I know this topic is probably mentioned already but I am new here and not an expert.
I have noticed lately that I cannot connect to my friends server anymore on my TV however all works well with my Phone and PC. When I do the “check media status” it says the server is unavailable. This is not true because I can play it on my phone and computer no problem?
I cant think of anything that changed recently so any help from the community would be appreciated.
Make sure your Plex client settings align with the server settings.
If friend’s PMS is set to Required and your TV does not support secure connections, the server will show as unavailable.
Also, try a full power off for your TV. Turn it off, then pull the power for ~30 seconds. Plug it back in and see what happens. I’ve had to do this a couple times with my TV after a beta Plex app upgrade or if the TV was not turned off properly (ex: power loss during thunderstorm). Killing the power for ~30 sec seemed to clear out the cobwebs and things worked fine afterwards.
