Hello,
I would really appreciate some help here. Thanks in advance.
I have a Samsung Smart TV that runs Plex to watch movies from my Windows 7 computer. Everything was working fine till today.
I had a breaker switch off on me because of a heater in my room and my modem and router was turned off for a few hours. After switching the breakers back on and getting the electricity back, everything was good.
I tried opening Plex on my TV and it says “The server “xxxx” cannot be reached securely.” “An insecure connection may be possible. Do you want to allow insecure connections?”.
From this point, I’ve tried that option and it doesn’t work either.
I’ve tried logging out of both my computer and the TV, and logging back in and that doesn’t work.
When I go to my Plex on my computer’s web, go to Settings > General, log out of server, reclaim the server, it gives me the error “No soup for you. Cannot access the server.” But the funny thing is, I’m still able to see all of my media files and access everything. Also, after this screen pops up for about 5 seconds, it goes back to the General settings page and it looks like it’s logged in. It shows the “Logout” button again for my server.
I’ve tried going into my router settings and changing my DNS to Google’s public DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and doing the same in my Windows setting. That didn’t change anything either.
I’ve tried pasting “https://plex.tv/pms/resources.xml?includeHttps=” into my browser and I get an error message saying “Please sign in.”
I’ve tried getting my media info through XML from this article:

The first time I tried this, my device name and IP address came up. Now, no matter what I try it doesn’t come up any more. But either way, my TV was still having issues connecting when my name and IP was coming up and now when it isn’t. Same issue.
I’ve tried changing my password to reset my token and checking the box that says “Sign out connected devices after password change” and tried logging back in and reconnecting my TV with the 4 character pin. Still no luck.
There were a few more things I tried but I do not recall at this moment because it’s been hours and hours of researching and troubleshooting.
Someone PLEASE help me.
