Server Version#:1.28.1.6104
Player Version#: on TV 2.013.PMS
I have a Plex server and a Lifetime Plex Pass subscription.
I have several TVs on my local network and a QNAP NAS that has a PLEX server installed. All TVs (Samsung) were connected by me by entering a four-digit code (Link | Plex) when installing the PLEX application on the TV through the application store.
A few days ago I decided to add another TV. I updated the SmartHub on my TV (Samsung UE32EH5307K is a E-Series (2012)model) and installed from the Plex app store.
When I try to connect to the server I am asked to “Sign in to my Plex account”. When I try to do this, the TV shows me a status indicator, but there is no connection to the server. (The TV is connected to the Internet, no network restrictions are set for it, there are no proxies.) I tried with and without a secure connection.
At the same time, another Samsung TV that I connected a year earlier works fine.
Tell me what I’m doing wrong, what could be the reason and how I can fix it. I need to connect to the server! Of course, I can connect to the server without authentication (by specifying in the server settings a list of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without authentication, however, I need my children to see only the lists of movies they are allowed to see.
UPnP is disabled on my router and the server is not available for external connection.
Please help me with the issue of connecting the TV to the server.
