Can't edit/add Library on Windows

Server Version#: 4.157.0

Seems to have been a common issue over the years based on my research but recently for me after making some changes, Plex isn’t letting me add/edit libraries. The language drop down is blank and so I’m unable to change anything.

I’ve gone through complete reinstalls a few times and it never goes away. I managed to get a new install to let me add the libraries but afterwards I was unable to edit again.

Anything new to learn about fixing this beyond what’s already online about deleting cache folders and whatever else?

Disable your VPN, then stop and restart the server.
Then Reload the web app in your browser and try again.

I am having the same issue. My server restarted for Windows updates and now I am having the same issue. When i try to add/amend a library, the Language drop down is empty and I can’t view the folders. All icons are greyed out.

All of my media is visible in the Plex app but when I try to watch anything I get a ‘Unable to play. Skip?’ error message.

Did you find a resolution?

Did your web browser ask you about access permission to the local network for the “web site” app.plex.tv?

Listen to Otto :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:. It may not seem obvious and I was allowing plex through my VPN but that ended up being the reason.

I had to start everything over again but removing the VPN resolved the issue for me. I essentially reset my entire Plex server in the process but that was it
