Can't find new server in my account

I already had a PMS running on my Windows computer. I just bought a QNAP NAS (TS-451+) and am trying to get Plex up and running there instead of my PC.

I downloaded Server Version#: 1.18.3.2111-5a96726d0 from the Plex website and installed it in QTS (via Firefox on my Windows PC), and when I clicked on the app icon it launched a new Firefox tab to http://[local IP]:32400/web, which immediately redirected to app.plex.tv and asked me to sign into my existing account. I did so, and it then let me complete the setup process by creating a library etc. etc.

As soon as the setup process was done, it redirected me to app.plex.tv, where I can only see the old PMS instance running on my Windows PC – the one I just set up is nowhere to be found. Per other advice on the forums, I tried signing out, but every time I go to http://[local ip]:32400/web, it immediately bounces me to app.plex.tv and asks me to sign in. I can’t seem to find a way around it.

Any advice?

Sign your browser out of your account.
Open an incognito window
open http://ip.addr.of.qnap:32400/web?secure=0

See if that lets it relax long enough to claim and complete setup.

If it’s on a different subnet or your lan isn’t rfc-1918 compliant, you’ll need a direct ssh tunnel to it.

After signing out in my main browser, and visiting the URL you provided from an incognito window, it asked me to sign in again. I figured I’d give it a try. This time, it said “you have more than one server, select your preferred server” and then I could see both listed.

Thanks for the help.
