My server occasionally gets unlinked.
I usually follow the why am I locked out of server settings and how do I get in? article to reclaim
Although tedious, this usually works.
This time however. I cannot see my server to claim it.
I am on the same network as the PC with the server, as I usually am when attempting this.
Currently when I open the webapp there is no section showing my server to be able to claim.
When I right click server in tray and open plex. I get 401 unauthorised.
My server is in eth Authorised Devices list.
I have tried the following
- log out, reboot, login
- installed the advanced hidden server setting “enableLocalSecuirty” and turned it to false
- run the Setup Plex.html from plex Media Server directory. It asks me to sign into server, after I do it hangs on the Initialising Plex Media Server Window (I left it for hours).
- If I click on settings, the server is there and i get the screen saying app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “Plex server name” securely
If I open the windows app, It says not authorised You do not have access to this server
Any help much appreciated.
Would like to figure out why I keep getting locked out of server every now and then after this is resolved.
