PMS version

Unless you are comfortable running beta software, suggest you run PMS 1.42.2. Version 1.43.0 has the updated transcoder and Plex is still working out the kinks. I’ve noticed nothing in the release notes regarding remote access issues. PMS 1.43.x will not be a public release until after the first of the year.

Remote Access

Ensure PMS is configured for debug server logs (settings → server_name → general + show advanced). Do not enable verbose logs.

  1. Stop Plex
  2. Wait one minute.
  3. Start Plex
  4. Wait three minutes for Plex to fully start and log the startup sequence.
  5. Check settings → remote access to make sure it shows “fully accessible…”
  6. Pull log files and post the zip file.
