Can't i sync to various users/devices?

Hello,
i have not yet fully understood the synchronisation feature to download media to your devices.

setup: i have 1 admin user setup and 2 regular users. on my apple tv (main) i use the admin user. on 2 mobile devices (ios) i use 1 regular user each.

usecase: if i want to sync & download content to the ios devices, i am told, that another users has synchronised media and i need to delete these first.

question: can i not download media on 2 devices?

Yes you can sync to multiple devices however you cannot currently sync if another Plex Home user has already synced content on that device. because for synced content it currently can only handle one group of synced items a which is tied to a user.

Part of that had to due with preventing folks who should not have access to them fro seeing stuff they shouldn’t. if you and your child share a device and your child only has access to cartoons. then you sync Texas Chainsaw Massacre your child would see it.

afaik this is changing relatively soon but for right now only one account can sync to any given device.

I am still a little confused with the interface of Plex on iOS where i can delete the files. e.g. if i download a complete series, there’s no chance to delete watched episodes individually but only the entire series?
