Hi, as per title I’m trying to link my new tidal account to my Plex account. I don’t want to pull the whole account over at this point because I figure switching billing might lose me my free trial, just link.
So I’m in my Plex account, click other services, click link tidal, it goes to the tidal site where it says “Something went wrong. Please try again. If the error persists, contact customer support.”
Nothing changes no matter how many times I try. I asked tidal since the error is on their website, but they told me to ask Plex ask here I am.
Make sure you are not blocking any scripts or have other restrictions activated in your browser.
Try again with a default browser and an “icognito” browser tab.
I don’t think I would have any restrictions set up etc as I wouldn’t even know where to go with that, I use a browser very basically. Incognito didn’t work, but if you’re thinking it could be a browser issue I have a couple of PCs I can try with later (currently on my phone)
Ok, thanks. I will try on my PCs and get a browser or two I haven’t used before so couldn’t possibly have any kind of add-on on in a bit and will report back then.
I am also having this problem. I have tried on multiple computers and multiple web browsers. They all result in the same error when i click on the tidal link in other services.
“Something went wrong. Please try again. If the error persists, contact customer support.”
I have now tried in incognito on 3 different devices, 2 different browsers on each, and the same result on all of them. Someone else with the issue now too. Any more thoughts? Cheers
Edit: I linked a last.fm account just fine yesterday if that means anything
Same issue. Tried in chrome and edge, both in private modes. Also tried on android.
It looks like potentially a malformed linking Url - but that’s just a wild guess.
In my case, I can play Tidal tracks on PMS through Chrome, but not Plex for Windows on the same PC. But I CAN play Tidal tracks on a notebook PC, same network.
Following the advice of these posts, I disabled my popup blocker in chrome, opened an incognito window, and navigated to Tidal Music. There I was greeted with the three tabs, Recommended, My Tidal, and My Tidal Playlists.
Instead of the message I was getting when I was using the popup blocker and the regular browser, “Something went wrong. An unexpected error occurred.,” I’m getting “TIDAL + Plex = music to your ears!” as if I wasn’t already connected to Tidal. And I know I am because if I attempt to transfer my Tidal account to Plex, I can see my account details: " ACCOUNT, michaelkydonieus, ###### SUBSCRIPTION PLAN, TIDAL HiFi, ###### AMOUNT $9.99, ##### TOTAL $9.99, ###### TRIAL, FREE for 30 Days.
I also have an email confirming that my account is linked, which says in part: “We are so happy you’re here and ready to enjoy ALL the jams. Congrats, you now have access to Tidal’s 60 million+ tracks, 240,000+ music videos, and extensive original content, all in the comfort of your very own Plex…”
I’m running Windows 10 and Plex Web Version 4.111.1
Does anyone have any idea about why I can’t access my Tidal playlists in Plex? Or what I can do about it?
