Can't play videos on my LG Android TV

Hello,

I have been using Plex for the past 3 years on my LG Android TV, it was working flawlessly, until last week it started crashing when I try to play any video. When I press any video it starts loading for ~10-15sec then plex restart.

Videos work on other devices only just my LG TV couldn’t. I have attached the log file for more investigating in this problem.GOOGLE TV LOG.txt (735.1 KB)

You are running an old version of the app. Please update to the latest and see if you still have this problem.

Edit - Nevermind about updating. I see you are running an old version of Android so you can’t update any more.

Well, I’m not sure I have a solution for you. Since you can’t update the app, even if we had a fix, we can’t get it to you. The problem you are seeing may also have already been fixed in a newer version of the app.

With the old version of the app, I would suggest trying to run an older version of PMS. It might be more compatible. Although this may affect other clients you have. Some newer ones require a newer version of PMS.

You might be stuck. The only other solution would be to get another device that can plug into the HDMI port on your TV, like a Fire TV or Roku
