Cant Reclaim Server. Uninstalled and Renamed - Still says there are problems!

Server Version#:1.30.1.6497
Player Version#:

I have tried everything - I have a Synology Installation and have uninstalled the Server. I have reinstalled Plex server with the latest version from the Plex website.
When I reinstall even though I have renamed the Server Version it still knows about the OLD version and says there is a problem!
SO I dont know how to proceed.

I guess the problem started when I installed a new Synology Router. Everything was working fine till that moment.

It seems Plex is having a problem seeing the Server yet all my Movies and Music and Recordings are visible. The problem only became apparent when I tried to record a program on the DVR. There were no live entries in the EPG.

I deleted the DVR and then started it again. Thats where the fun started. I could not get the DVR to accept my Post Code. Refused to identify the Post Code even though it was as before. So it seems that there is a problem between the DVR subscription and the server!

I dont know how to delete the server so I can start from scratch. I am happy to do this - I have done it many times before when Plex Server was on WIndows but I dont know how to do a completely clean install on Synolgy?

Can anybody advise how this is possible.

I am done trying to sort out 'Claim Sever… I have followed all the instructions and after 5 hours I am no further forward.

I guess the only solution is to delete by Account (subscription) and go else where!

Deleting your account wont fix anything. Lets start with uploading your server logs.

This could be several issues.

Thanks. In Plex Web App - Settings there is no Manage Item! Nor can I see Troubleshoot. Please advise?

On your synology there should be /volume1/PlexMediaServer/AppData/Plex Media Server and a folder called logs. Zip that up and upload it.

Some additional items to check.

  1. Reboot the NAS.

  2. Verify the default gateway is correctly configured in Synology Control Panel → Network.

  3. Configure the Synology to use public DNS such as 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 (Google).

  4. Synchronize the NAS with a NTP server. This verifies DNS is working.

  • Synology Control Panel → Regional Options
  • Select Synchronize with NTP Server
  • Pick a server
  • Update Now.
  • It should return a “Successfully synced with …” message and have status = normal.

This is because your server is unclaimed. It will not appear when using app.plex.tv.

From a system on the same network as the NAS, point a browser at the IP address of the NAS, http://syno_ip_address:32400/web.

For example, if the NAS address is 10.1.2.3, use http://10.1.2.3:32400/web.

Do not use the “open” button in Package Center, a domain name, Synology Quick Connect, etc. Those methods will not work.
