Can't see individual videos in folder view

Hello all,

I have a problem that I hope you all can help me with. I have as Synology NAS that is running Plex Server. I have a directory structure for my home videos of:

Home Videos
yyyy
yyyy-mm-dd
video files

On my android TV and android phone, I can see the year folder when in folder view under library and I can see the yyyy-mm-dd folder but I can not drill down into the yyyy-mm-dd folder to see the individual files. I can on the browser interface on my pc.

Does anyone know why this is. I have checked every configuration I know.

Synology is very strict on file permissions.

I have my Synology’s subfolders “wide open” because I control the permissions at the top level.

What you’re interested in this screenshot I show below, is the “Group” and “Others”.

“Group” will apply if you use FileStation to upload files (You and Plex are both “Users” group – same group)

“Others” will apply if you use CIFS (SMB) and upload from the computer / mobile devices.

Make certain, when you set these: “Apply to this folder, sub-folders, and files”

Next have Plex scan again and see what it pics up.
If it doesnt’ start grabbing them , Let’s look at the log files ZIP. This seems to be a permissions problem . The logs will detail where the problem begins.
