EPG : ICE TV Australia (used to use freeview changed to Ice TV today as I was emailed by Plex this week )

Been using Freeview EPG since Plex enabled DVR. no issues. Then today after changing to ICETV for the XMLTV guide when i go to record a TV show I am only offered under "Add to Library " only two options, Movies or Unsorted Video. Before I was offer TV Shows.
I cant find anywhere to edit or change this. Just upgraded to latest Plex Media Server thinking it was a bug but issues still persists. Dont really want to create a new TV Show Folder
I’m only seeing TV Shows under some Shows not all.

could this be a ICE TV Issue ? ie the EPG ?
Could it be related to TVDB not having listings for National Nine News ? I dont think this is as shows in TVDB are coming up the same as Nine News in the EPG screens.
That may be a guide issue. It’s worth checking with IceTV that they’re listing it as a TV show. In my local guide (Melbourne) with IceTV, it appears to be listed as a TV show, as I can add it to a TV Show library.
It’s because EPG provider are not assigning the programs to the correct categories. In my case I was using xTeVe (it’s like TVheadend) to control the channel mappings and EPG data and in xTeVe when you edit a channel there is a section that allows you to assign the channels to the relevant section i.e. Movies and Series once I assigned the entertainment channels to the Series section in xTeVe Plex then recognised this and allowed me to record live TV to the libraries that were set as TV Shows. Until I did this I could only select Movie libraries as a destination in Plex because Movies was the default channel assignment in xTeVe until I changed them all manually.
and now thinks most of the shows I watch are movies and no way to tell its a TV show without contacting IceTV, i mean cmon, there has got to be something better than IceTV, I’d even pay for Gracenote if thats an option?
Cant get it to record my shows anymore and are back using catchup TV apps to view my content, absolutely useless.
I’m having a similar issue. I have some episodes but not all. I’m using xTeVe and EGG for IPTV. Any thoughts on how to resolve this issue?
It seems if I use the epg directly its hot or miss with program data. If I take the feed from xteve and I set to series in the mapping it those channels work correctly.
However, setting a channel type to movie it does not recognize any of the series on that movie channel. As an example. If I set HBO to movie it thinks everything on that channel is a movie which is wrong. For now I will set them to series as a workaround.
Also you guys need a way to let us renumber channel numbers

Also having this same issue. Any way to take the PMS category (movie, series, news, sport) from the EPG source on a per-program basis like we get from Gracenote rather than static the whole channel as one particular category? Or does it depend on the EPG provider?
On Roku, just setup live TV a few days ago. I tried to record Modern Family. Add to Library says default but if I go to change it there’s nothing there. I’m using xTeVe with PMS as the EPG. I should have the option of TV or Kids TV. From PC I can change the library and set the recording.
