I can no longer sign in to Plex player via Android phone or tablet after resetting my password due to the breach. I can however log in via my nVidia Shield and web browser and everything works fine on both. I can also log into Plex Dash on my phone when I use the “log in via web” option, and again it works fine.
I get the following error when I try to sign into the player via my phone or tablet :
Sign In Failed
User could not be authenticated.

No one from Plex cat back to me, this is what I did.
I finally got the app to work. I reset my password again and had to go and link our TV to my server and my laptop. Everything is working now. After resetting I did have to reclaim my server. I never had to do that the first time. I am guessing I either missed or was not told to reclaim the server.
Every thing works now.

Unfortunately, I’ve already tried changing my password again and no luck. I can access Plex via the web or any streaming device that allows for web sign-in. It’s when I have to log in via username and password, on anything other than a web browser, that it fails.
Sadly I have nothing to add, just chiming in to confirm that I’m having the same issue as cliffpartridge and that likewise, a second password reset and reinstalling the app haven’t helped.
