Server is not accessible from NVidia Shield or Mobile App after password change

Like many I am having trouble with my Plex setup after the password change due to the security breach. I am able to access my local media server via Web URL (http://[server_ip]:32400/web/index.html) and I can stream shows with no problem. BUT I cannot do the same from the Plex Android app in my NVidia Shield or my phone. It can see the name of my local server but it cannot access it.

In my server settings (which I see by accessing it from my PC via the URL) I see that my server is correctly “claimed”. What else could be going wrong? do I need to backup my database and reinstall the server software?

Same issue today for me. The only way I can get this working is to remove all updates and let it load the factory default.

I then went back to Google play store on the device to update and it’s back to no server and actually stalls and crashes after 3-5sec when trying to access menu options or even settings

Also claimed my server. All my PC and IOS devices, lg app on tv all work correctly

It doesn’t sound like that’s working well at all….am I misunderstanding?

I wouldn’t be posting in a support forum if things were going well. I’d be watching my shows off my server on my shield. But can’t do that so I’m here trying to find help.

LOL, I can’t make sense of that either, must be a typo somewhere :wink:

But having same problem as you with android app on old tab S2 (ip addys work ok tho’!)
