Sling TV is a must!
then if you like:
UStvNow
Netflix
Viaplay
HBO
Spotify
TuneIn
Dashboard support on Cloud Sync
NBA League pass
Google Play Music
Amazon Prime Video
Plex is a media server and media these days come in many forms and is no longer limited to just audio and video. Support for ePub as well as other digital readable (PDF, .docx etc.) material would be greatly appreciated. While reading a book on my large screen TV may not be something I would do, I can certain see reading it on my phone or tablet. It would be nice to have one app to do this with, as in Plex.
Feature to add that would be welcomed would be to ability to specify the trailer for a movie. I’ve noticed that even with a Plex Pass not all movies have trailers available for them yet the trailer can be easily seen on places such as YouTube. The ability to point to an external URL or even to a local file to be used as a trailer would be very much appreciated.

Hi @rizorith , you can get a Google Play Music channel by following this thread:
https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/110896/rel-google-music-channel
Just be aware that you need to use the update_gmusicapi_fix_login branch created by @pablorusso in order to get it working. There are Ubuntu instructions on the pull request issue: Update gmusicapi and changes webclient with mobileclient by pablorusso · Pull Request #13 · jwdempsey/GoogleMusic.bundle · GitHub
Hope it helps!
Google Play Music integration
Direct tv plugin. Allowing payed users to log into and select what channels they want to direct stream over plexchannel.
I am saddened to acknowledge that Plex hasn’t been what it could have been and honestly hasn’t improved much over the years. It tries too hard to limit itself into just organising in-house media but it doesn’t even do a good job at this; sorting is broken/limited (not enough options, ignores ‘the’, ‘a’ terms by default in the sort title), classical music lovers are ignored ( no composer tag). Many users need a complete solution for their living room, organising their subscriptions as well as their DVDs, and they can’t get it anywhere in the market, not in AppleTV, not in Google Chromecas, not in Roku. Plex could have been that but, as it is, it looks like an incomplete experiment. Anyway, Netflix, Mubi, Qobuz, NBA channels/plugins would be more than welcome.
New member here. And love the program as it is. And I am not even using any premium features yet (Basically as I am still doing research)
To make it even better for me would be:
Netflix plugin.
Books plugin (epubs)
Spotify plugin.
After a few days of running my Plex.
I have even gotten some friends to use plex also.
Shared some stuff with them.
But realized talking to them was an hassle. I could call them all to tell them something like check that new video I made.
But I Would rather have just send them a small message through the plex to them or create some sort of notification which they would see then.
I would like to see an option to set up notifications for them to read. Maybe allow it even to be pushed on their screen.
I would love to see support for:
TuneIn (or dedicated Plex solution for internet Radio)
Spotify
EyeTV support (LiveTV)
Could you please update the TIVO app to look more like the Apple TV app.
Move Content would be nice from 1 section to another
Subtitle fetching and download
satellite-box plugin
Trakt Plugin - should be part of base library. Especially for ShieldTV users since can’t add plugins.

Are you referring to alphabetizing titles and not ignoring “The” or “A” at the beginning? If I understand correctly that’s how it’s done with any titles (books, TV, movies etc) as it makes them easier to find. Otherwise the majority of our collections would fall under 4 letters. I may not understanding what you’re requesting.

We will never see Netflix, HBO etc on a media server system like Plex (at least not made by plex). And It has nothing to do with the Plex team. The oligarchic system of Movie Studio/TV/last mile ISP’s not only want to control what you watch, but how and on what you watch it on. We can’t even buy a digital copy of a movie, Hollywood sure isn’t going to allow a plugin to a Plex to watch their content. HBO/Showtime has a ‘copy once’ applied universally (IE can only watch on the machine that recorded it and it has to be from the cable co’s hardware). Time Warner has applied this encryption to almost every cable channel and you can expect others to follow.
All that said, there are plugins for Spotify, USTVnow and I think Tunein (not 100% on the last one).

Since when “The” and “A” are omitted from books/movies/etc titles ? Indexing/searching is one thing, browsing/sorting/presentation another. No reason why you can’t have both.

I agree on the myopia and greediness of the industry. But you can always ask, at least I do. Both at Plex and NBA/Qobuz/etc. If it can be made for NHL it surely can be made for NBA. And if something could be made (unofficially) for Kodi it could be made (unofficially) for Plex.
