Casting bugs: ios to Plex appletv

My usage case is playing on Plexamp iOS and sometimes casting to Plex Appletv. I have noticed the following bugs:

  1. while playing music on my iPhone, I initiate casting to Plex on my appletv. Streaming does not seem to commence. I have silence on both devices. The appletv displays the correct artwork and track info, but the “play” button on my phone just shows the spinning wheel indefinitely. The only way I can get a successful connection is to skip to the next song. Playback works fine thereafter. Switching casting back and forth between the phone and appletv works fine for a while thereafter. The issue seems to be with the initial connection.

  2. while casting from my iPhone to the appletv, selecting another track from the same currently playing album via my phone actually selects a different track from the album. Selecting a different track via the appletv works correctly as does selecting when not casting.

Not sure if these bugs apply to any other devices or usage cases.

Probably should add that in 1) above, I’m talking about selecting tracks from the album in the library not from the “back to” or “up next” lists.

i just tried, and could not reproduce either of these issues.
