I can’t cast to my Chromecast with the latest android app.
It simply doesn’t work. It just sits with a white spinning loader.
The previous app worked perfectly.
When will this be fixed the app has been out months now.

Same here. I downgraded my Plex Android app over a month ago due to this issue (back to the pre “New Experience” (version 10.26.0.2578)) to regain casting function. Today after reading that the new version had a lot of fixes I thought I’d try again… Nope! Still not working! So my media server and android app are gonna have to remain on the old version for a while.
I really hope they provide a fix for this asap too as the only way to watch decent quality content is casting from my phone to my TV (the TV app is just awful)…
So if you haven’t done so already I’d suggest downgrading back to an earlier version of Plex app (pre “New Experience”) and lets hope they are working on this and get a fix soon!!!

I have downgraded to the last safe version.
It’s weird, it connects to my chromecast ultra, shows all the right screens, but as soon as it’s supposed to play, it just sits and hangs… the old app works instantly.
new experience = no experience.
