Plex on Chromecast works from web browser, but spins if cast from android

For the last few days, I have been unable to cast to my chromecast from my Android Plex app. It will start a Plex player, but it will just spin and never play anything.

If I instead cast to the chromecast from a app.plex.tv in a web browser it works fine.

Has something changed recently with the chromecast version of the app, and is the android app providing a different version than the web browser?

Doesn’t matter what it casts from. There’s a codec issue. They’re working on it.

The description here doesn’t quite match what I’m seeing.

I will add that I figured out I can cast from the Plex web app via chrome but not Firefox (and of course NOT the native android app).
