Category disappeared on users laptop

Plex was working fine. Suddenly the comedy Category on my sisters. and my daughters laptops says can’t access or something like that. I have looked on my end and all is well and they can see it on tv using my daughters account. The only change I made (which may be the problem) is I split the comedy into two categories from one ie Comedy and Old Comedy which has older stuff in it. I see both on all my stuff. Is there something that need to be cleared on the laptops maybe?

You probably mean Libraries? Can she see the new library or no? If she can’t check your share settings and make sure that new library is checked.

Thanks for the correction. Yes she can see the libraries but they have a yellow triangle and say unavailable or something like that on them. Also the first thing I did was make sure everything was checked in the settings here and all was good. I even unchecked-rebooted Plex- then rechecked the library and no change. I haven’t had the chance to look at her laptop yet to see what I could find, but since it is happening to two different laptops at the same time I thought I might start asking for some help with what might be happening.

Have you emptied your trash? Or done a full library scan then emptied trash?

I have emptied trash but not after full library scan. I am beginning to wonder if I just need to do the plex dance on the laptops. I really don’t have much information until I get to see the laptops. I will try that and see if it helps tho.

Came back to say that the problem has been resolved. The had been starting Plex wrong ie starting several instances of PMS. I removed all shortcuts and showed them how to open proper. after a needed update on both and reboot I was able to manage the libraries and set it all right. Thanks for the help.
