Missed trying the first beta, but at least the latest one seems to be no different in playback stutter for me. Currently resorting to using kodi+plugin, which works just fine.

And dropping back to 9.14 also works.

@sixones Iā€™ve tried the latest 9.17.0.38671-beta and the 720p dropped frames issue IS BACK!
The only version that works since 9.14 is the 9.17.0.38548 you provided. The 9.17.0.38636 that you provided drops 720p frames too.

Looks like the fix got reverted by mistake, will raise with the team and get a new beta deployed tomorrow (Monday).

I see 9.17 was released, but wanted to confirm that this has been fixed in that release. Still using 9.14.

Yes, the released version of 9.17 works fine for me. Use the armv7a version for the CCwGTV.

We still get stutter, especially from things we record on our plex DVR. We have the new, latest update. This only happens on our Chromecast.

I am no longer having this issue. All of my movies and TV recordings are playing perfectly now.

All of my CCwGTV units are hardwired. I suspect you have a WiFi issue.

(Treks4, not sure why my handle changed) We record from Comcast to Plex DVR. When we watch live or recorded Comcast local TV on Plex, we get stuttering, or frame-loss, on ChromeCast, but not on the native Plex app on our Sony Android TV. The TV and the ChromeCast are both hardwired. No Wifi. This started with the new versions of Plex on ChromeCast. It all used to work fine. It also happens with our Jeopardy downloads too but most of our other files, in 4K and HD, play fine. We suspect it is a codex problem with files recorded from cable TV? We access 3 different servers. We see this happen with files from at least 2 of the servers. Our Comcast local TV downloads to our in-house server. Jeopardy downloads to an off-site server. We have CC Plex Version 9.17.0.38861 (stutters)
The Plex version on our Android TV is 9.10.1.36024 (works great)

Iā€™ve verified this behavior (playback pausing) with first and second generation Chromecasts, but not with the CCwGTV.
