CERT: Error acquiring new certificate; needs reissued?

Server Version#: 1.28.0.5999

My server is suddenly inaccessible remotely; all players give an error “Unable to connect to “<my_server_name>” securely”, or something similar.

The logs show an error “CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to retrieve cert from plex.tv”; it seems that I need a new certificate issued? Is it possible to have this done?

Please let me know if any more information is needed.

FYI I was able to remedy this by changing my server’s friendly name. I presume the name change triggered a reissue of a cert to reflect it; I’d still like to know how to fix this otherwise in case it comes up again, I’d prefer not to change the name.
