I am running Plex as a plugin via Truenas. I created an account for my children to use to watch only the movies that are appropriate for their age. On my Truenas samba share I have categorized movies for Kids and Adults. So thru Plex “Settings”, I clicked on “Users & Sharing” and selected the children account. In the account under “Shared With Children” I selected the library for their shows and movies. However, not all of the movies and shows are available when I use their account. But when I switch to my account all of the children shows and movies show up. How can I solve this issue?
Do you have restriction profiles set? If the movies don’t have any rating it might not be showing it. If the libraries that are shared with them only has stuff they can definitely can see you can set the profile to none.
The profiles are set to “Younger Kid” restriction. I did so because I want them to be able to watch live TV. How can I check if the movies have a rating on them and is it possible to update it? Thanks!
change it to list view (top right arrow) to see a list you can quickly scan. if not already there use the menu on right to enable the “Content Rating” column.
edit by clicking on the pencil on the right of a movies row when hovering over it. ( is hidden by open menu in image)
You can edit multiple at ones by clicking on that circle next the pencil to select each then edit them all at once.
