Changing ownership of Server to new Life Plex Pass from Apple mediated yearly sub

Server Version#: 1.41.0.8992
Player Version#: NA

I just purchased a lifetime subscription direct from Plex. My current server is windows based and using a yearly (Apple mediated) subscription. My current server setup has the Plex data directory not on the C: drive but on E:. I changed this previously in the registry.

How do I transfer ownership to my new profile (email) so that I can utilize the new Lifetime sub I just bought? I had to create a new profile as I have understood I cannot apply the lifetime to my Apple created profile.

I had tried to do it through the “Why am I locked out of Server Settings and how do I get in?” support article but it didn’t seem to work. Is there an easier way? Do I have to move the Plex data directory back to the default directory etc. before I do this? Is that why it didn’t work? When I tried before (relogin post using steps in article mentioned) it would only allow me to login under the new profile/ID but it didnt’ see the server. Any help appreciated.

Have you seen You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry

No I haven’t although I did look at after your msg. Unlike the other plex user, I am comfortable messing with the registry and had already done so. That said, I think something is still missing as it didn’t work for me. Also, the fact that I have plex meta data on another drive could also be causing issues (not sure). You would think Plex would provide the simple ability to change server “ownership” given the messed up issue with Apple/Plex owners and Plex/Plex owners, or at least have a simple way to do it. And, its not like I didn’t cop a ton of flack asking this exact question in Reddit

Ever looked at
Settings - Server - General
?

It doesn’t.

Thanks!!!
