Channel maping out of order

It is with the development team now and is on the list of issues to be looked into

Thanks for your help!

Any news about this issue? Thanks!

This is exactly the issue I’ve been having for a few months too. Like all other things with this forum, I posted about this and got ZERO response from plex at all.

Here’s my thread I opened about it…

@sa2000 is this also being investigated too?!

A fix for the alignment issue has been written for Plex Web and is going through the process and will get included in a future release of Plex Web

The sort issue you mentioned can no longer be reproduced - is it still happening for you using latest hosted Plex Web app and latest Plex Media Server beta? If it is still happening, could I have a fresh example and also what it should be looking like

Thanks

I have responded here asking for diagnostics

Having the same issue via plex web or directly from the last version of PMS … if you want i can give you the xmltv with the log files and screenshots?

Thanks!

Hi @sa2000 hope all is well! I see I was tagged or my thread was tagged in this conversation, you may want to check with @DaveBinM as he’s aware of this issue and has had someone working on it for a couple months now and they have not responded to us. Maybe we can find out what’s going on as I’ve also tagged @elan to see if he would be willing to investigate to see what’s going on and he never responded. All the information can be found in this thread below. Thank you

Are you referring to the sort issue ? order of channels? If you are, please confirm the issue remains using the latest Plex Media Server beta 1.24.5.5160-19d8ce86f with the latest hosted Plex Web app on https://app.plex.tv/desktop

If the issue remains please me have your xmltv EPG file together with screenshots showing the issue and explaining how it would have got displayed before the regression

sorry there is currently an issue with this beta and android plex clients streaming DVR Live TV. So please test with public PMS release or the updated beta once it is out

it’s the order when you setup the channel with the tuner… it’s out of order… i have the same issue…

i have no problem when i use the client … the channel is ok.. only when i setup the tuner

here’s the xml

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlCpKPlkc5zVgtg7o7fqdbzF7BgqJw?e=IXQbs5

my issue is the exact same that JasonsPlex started 4+ months ago and also linked to:

What they’re working on though is something different. They’re working on Xmtl being out of order when trying to map the channel in the back end… I believe. I don’t use ipTV so I’m not sure the exact terminology. This is something different than what we’re experiencing with standard definition channels which is being ignored for the past 4 months. I keep getting confused with this thread as well as it’s similar but not the same.

Thank you for the xmltv file and the screenshot of the drop-down list.

I have reproduced the problem and have now referred it to the Plex Media Server development team. Sorry for taking so long - there is a finite number of hours and a backlog of forum issues I am following up

Thanks for the update

@warham30 I expect to have an alpha build soon that sorts the lineup channels

I will send you the windows build - it will be a 1.25.5 alpha build

Anyone else with this issue and would like to try the alpha build, please let me know giving the platform/build used

Thanks

@sa2000 me too, please

yes please. I’m using shield

I have the same out of order pulldown as pictured above using XMLTV. I use podman so it would have to be a 64bit Docker image. I can fire it up very fast to test.

PMS 1.25.5 Beta has been released

and the 2 DVR fixes

  • (EPG) Guide could show wrong VCN if lineup has duplicate channel ids. (#13207)
  • (EPG) Lineup channels returned during DVR setup were not sorted. (#13188)
