Chrome webplayer dont start playing

First, I can’t figurer this out. I’m soon balled with all the hair pulled out off my head!

Google Chrome webplayer dont start video files. When starting then videos, its just spinning.

  • If I check Plex dashboard, its showing that the media is playing.
    I’v tried forceing Plex too transcode, but it the same

I’v tried Firefox allso - the same issue.

Both Firefox and Chrome i’v tried disabling hardware acc.

The funny thing: The new Edge browser plays the videos, BUT without audio.

  • Youtube works fine on Edge - with video and sound.

All browsers are by default playing in DirectPlay, but it doenst work by forcing transcode either.

All the video files i’v tried, it works on my Android phone app, My andriodTV, Girlfriend’s iphone and Plex windows app.

  • Both DirectPlay and transcode
  • So its not a server resourses issue. It can transcode 2x 4k HDR streams at once.

Can anyone help my out here? :slight_smile:

I finaly found a video that Chrome will play.

All media with the “Video Profile: High” Chrome will play.

All media with the “Video Profile: Main” Chrome will not play.

Can someone explain me why?

I found out its not the video codec, but its the audio.
Chrome can’t play EAC3 audio codec
