I’ve updated all the apps my Plex apps to the latest version, I’m running the Plex app on my Android 11 phone, but as of today, I cannot cast to my 2nd Gen Chromecast plugged into my LG TV. I’ve tried casting other apps, like YT and Vimeo, but Plex refuses to connect. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yeah suddenly if I try to cast to any of my Chromecasts, I’m getting unable to connect errors. I didn’t even update anything recently. I have my Plex running on a qnap NAS, and it was literally working earlier today.
I usually cast via home assistant, but casting doesn’t work with my Android app either. I can watch the media fine on the Android app, however, so I know the server is up and running.
Also for the hell if it tested whether Plex amp would cast audio. I can’t cast audio to Chromecast Audio or Chromecast Video. I also can’t cast audio to my Wiim audio products.
Deezer app casts fine to both, so yes I am inclined to believe this is a Plex problem and not a Google problem.

Same here, suddenly casting to any chromecasts (or UHD chromecasts) in my household fails to connect.

Having the same issue! I started a thread in another part of the forum - Plex will not connect to any Google Device (using any phone, tablet, PC)
Same, can’t cast to chrome anymore, in my case it seems like it connect but it refuses to play anything. this is after the last update. it broke everything completely
Same here, If I cast to my TV it fails, but it will cast if I cast to the plex app on the TV
Not sure if anyonesaw, but @elan commented on the other thread that they’re working on a fix.
