I recently got a Wiim Ultra to replace my Wiim Pro. The Pro worked fine but I wanted a turntable input as well. I thought all was great. Got things set up, streamed fine, and then I looked at my dashboard. Turns out Chromecast is transcoding FLAC files into OPUS. Strange, this doesn’t happen on my other Wiim Pro. It uses Direct Play to play locall on the Pro. But on the Ultra it’s transcoding. I have tried with other apps and it doesn’t transcode (Symfonium). So, something is happening in Plexamp that’s telling Plex Media Server that it needs to transcode. Does anybody have a fix for this? I have tried editing the transcoding line but that just crashes everything. Any help would be appreciated.
