I also prefer delayed live tv than no live tv at all. Any plex dev to explain us the status on this please?? Any beta to test or something?

Any time soon? don’t expect until 2020? I have canceled my plex plass automatic renewal until this is ready. Looking forward to this.
Plex won’t give dates/timelines.
This is ridiculous, also going to cancel the pass and return HDHomeRun / antenna.

It’s simply unfathomable that this is still lacking considering how long plex has had transcoding, chromecast support and live TV support.
All of the pieces are there. You even updated the webserver hinting that this was one of the reasons for it.
And still nothing.
C’mon guys. At least give us an acknowledgement that this is on the roadmap.

I also feel burned by the limited live TV support. Unable to cast anywhere. The Plex app for Samsung TV does live TV but it’s nearly unusable because it forced to transcode despite the TV natively supporting the format.
I’ll be testing emby. My Plex pass might be very short lived.

Just checking in. I cancelled my Plex Pass months ago since live antenna TV is not supported. Looks like it still isn’t.
Also, Plex is still being misleading in their marketing. Referencing support for “recorded live TV”. It’s either recorded or it’s live. Plex does recorded TV. What everyone wants is actual live TV from an antenna, through HD Homerun (or similar) and transcoded on the fly for Chromecast.
I finally believe Plex must be trying to work a deal to provide live TV in a way that will cost money beyond Plex Pass, and thus are not implementing it. Too bad.
Please make this feature available. It is desperately wanted by the community.

Yes, please make this a feature. As others have mentioned, this was disappointing to find out that you can’t play live tv using an hdhomerun connected through plex… any updates on future solutions are greatly appreciated!
