Looking at buying a Sony BDP-BX320 Ultimate Streaming Entertainment Player. It has agents for Netflix, Pandora, huluplus, etc. Is there an agent for Plex as well? Would like to upgrade from my WD player if possible......

“Ultimate Streaming Entertainment Player” is a over statement when using bluray players as a plex client.
Are you aware that bluray players have cinavia protection built in and you will not be able to play correctly a lot of newer movies?
I have a high end samsung bluray player and the best plex client *IMO installed on it, but because of cinavia protection its not something i often use for plex.
Just wanted to make sure you were aware of cinavia before you spent the cash. If this does not matter to you… then that is great.
As far as plex on the Sony BDP-BX320 player, can’t say 100% but my guess would be no. I have yet to see a Sony bluray player with plex.
Samsung however as i said does, and a damn good plex experence aside from cinavia protection making it dead in the water for a regular use plex player.

I am not planning to use this unit for ripping DVDs but only to use as a player and as a media player for existing LAN based HDD attached to PHT. The rest of the house has Mac Minis running PHT and PMS 0.9.11.1. If possible, I would like to use Plex here also. So do you recommend. There is also a Samsung unit available (BD-HM57C). Is that a better option if I prefer using Plex as the streaming agent?
