I have two plex servers with plex pass. 1.17.0.1709 (Win16_1) and 1.21.0.3711(strassbg13) . Until a few days ago both servers work sufficiently. Suddenly my client (???) on my android phone request a server update of Win16_1 ???. strassbg13 still works. I used different clients (rasplex, fire tv, nvidia shield) Except rasplex all of them reqeusted an update.Rasplex works and within the browser firefox (client) as well. I prefer still 1.17.0 but then I updated to 1.21.0.3711 on Win16_1. But then surprise , surprise it still does not work. Firefox works and rasplex works. Nvidia shield, Fire tv do not.
Has anybody an idea ?
Mea culpa, I was wrong. I cloned a virtual machine with the old Plex server and updated to the new version of Plex. I thought that I have switched off the old Plex on the original machine but later I saw that Plex was not switched off. So 2 Plex servers were logged in.
So I switched off the old server and everything worked fine.
But anyhow I am now missing the back switch to a previous web site of the server. That`s why I wanted to stick with the old version.
Next Point : The input field for the Database location is missing. My database is about 500 Gb and it is not a good idea to leave it on the system hd. I know that I can change it within the registry , but what about a normal user ?
And again what kind of behaviour is it that a user is forced to update his server installation ?

What exactly do you mean by that?
I mean the the small back arrow near the home button.
And concerning the new way for database location: Do you think that is progress ?
Just use your web browser’s ‘Back’ button/keyboard combination.
There was no choice than to remove it. It was a security risk.
