So I have two questions related to Collections. I had initially downloaded collection info from themoviedatabase because I thought, incorrectly, that collections were like groupings. As in, the groupings that Netflix uses, so I could say “Marvel movies” or “Christmas movies”. So now I have a LOT of collections for movie franchises, like Die Hard, 007, etc… I do not want these collections. So I have not found a good/quick way to delete them. The only thing I can do is pick a collection, then select the movie posters and edit them. Remove the collection tag and click save. The problem is, that doesn’t delete the collection, it only removes the movies from the collection. How can I delete ALL my collections?
Secondly, collection names are showing up as Title’s in my view. If I go to my Movie library and select All->by Title, then I get all my movies, plus collections. This is throwing off the numbers, not to mention, I don’t want collections to show up when I’m looking for “Titles”.
Edit: I forgot to mention that you’ll have to have “Allow Media Deletion” enabled for your server (Settings > Server > Library > Allow Media Deletion). At least for now Plex considers the deletion of collections the same as deleting an actual video.
one addition…
you can still use collections for grouping only. click “edit” on your library and set the “collection” option in the advanced tab to “disabled” – no more in-line collections cluttering your movies view but you can still use it for filtering.
Sorry and maybe a dumb question but I don’t have the how to display collection option in my edit library advance menu? I am running latest version for server and clients.
I created 2 collections by selecting multiple movies and adding a collections tag. I can only see them via collection filter but do not get summery collection view as stated in the support page. I only do not have collections option in the Viewing the Library “By Collection!"

Please state the actual version numbers.
Using inline collections requires PMS 1.11 in combination with the online version of Plex Web (https://app.plex.tv/desktop) or PMS 1.12 (which has the required version of Plex Web built-in)

Your server version is over a year too old.
This particular collection support was only released recently. There is no way to get it with a server version that is over a year old.
I should have responded earlier to your posts, but yes, that solved my problem. I was able to delete all of my “collections” without it deleting the actual movies behind it.

Sorry maybe I am being dense. If I select check for updates and it states that I am up to date would that not mean I have the latest? If not, how / where do I go to get the latest?
Also I am running this on Mac OS (Mac mini) not sure if that makes a difference
Ok first off thank you for taking the time to help me and even though I figured I would be on the latest version by using the automatic update but clearly thats not the case. I went to downloads and simply downloaded the latest available version (Version 1.13.0.5003) and all is working as expected.
