Collections

I don’t post really, but I am a long time Plex Pass subscriber and I’m completely at a loss with something. I’m sure this has been asked before, but I can’t find it. And I apologize in advance if I’m in the wrong area, but I have a question I’m sure others would like to have answered about Collections too.

Why do collections not pull posters, background images, or any information like movies do. This is easily doable as other programs such as Emby do this immediately. Am I just missing something? Is there something I could do to remedy this? Having properly organized collections would completely help me with my movie collection.

Any info would be really helpful! Thanks in advance.

If you’re using the newest Movie agent, they do pull all that information

I have been using the most recent agent and it’s not. I’ve refreshed all my metadata multiple times. But the only collections that have any info or posters or anything are the ones I’ve updated on my own.

Can you show me your library settings? I’ve just set up a new library and scanned in all my content, and it found collections, and downloaded posters, artwork, ratings, and descriptions

It won’t change existing collections. https://support.plex.tv/articles/upgrading-a-movie-library-to-the-use-the-new-plex-movie-agent/

Ok, I broke something. I deleted my entire movie collection and re-added it and still no collections.

What settings do you need to see? What can I show you to get this working on my end. I feel like a moron that I can’t get this working for some reason.

in the library advanced settings just need to have a minimum number set.

That was it. Like an idiot when I deleted and started over, it defaulted to disabled and I didn’t catch it. Thanks for pointing that part out!!
