Anyone provide me with any hint as to why?

Thanks

Thanks for reporting this. If it is easily reproducible, could you please enable debug logging on the server - see https://support.plex.tv/articles/201643703-reporting-issues-with-plex-media-server/
and restart the server and when the problem appears again, please collect the logs zip and attach here

Do you know what player apps were being used at the time ?

I am seeing the same here. It appears every ~ 20 seconds or so, which makes me think this is normal.

I’m not sure if this helps, but I noticed this same error when I have 2 localhost plex tabs open in Chrome.

So today I’ve been able to pin point when this happens. It’s when I start the Plex app on my Samsung TV… It doesn’t happen when I have to localhost plex tabs open.

The version of the app is 2.007 and the TV is UE55F8000 (2013 model)

I also have this problem, it show begins when I trying to enter musicfolder from volumio app and volumio via browser (firefox) I get back later with logs.

I just noticed this start happening too

I have only 1 tab open in Chrome, however I am watching the Console, and I am streaming to my LG TV. Same error messages.

I am also seeing this error. [CompanionPlayer] We already have a handler, overwriting.
I have no other player running outside of one tab in Chrome.

It is also every :20 sec.

+1 for the same issues being seen.

Same issue here as well. I’m casting music to a Google Home device group and I’m seeing the error exactly every 20 seconds, and the audio momentarily skips.

I am also experiencing this issue.

It has been acknowledged by the development team as a problem but has minimal impact as the frequency is only every 20 seconds

The logging of this has been changed to Verbose and the change will make its way through the release cycle

I’d wouldn’t say it’s not important.

My set up if a Raspberry Pi using an SSD, and in the space of 3-4 hours I see 400MB of writes by Plex, obviously not all by this process, but it makes up enough of it that having stopped it via the Settings > Web Client > General > disable Advertise as Player Plex Media Server doesn’t even appear in the iotop listing now!
