I did a complete uninstall / reinstall of plex on QNAP, and I can’t add any libraries and cannot get rid of empty collections



After Uninstall (which destroys all the local server identification)

Did you go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms
and delete the server from Plex.tv ?

Lastly. did you close and reopen the browser (flush browser memory)

Yes, deleted all Authorized Devices and rebooted PC.


should I claim the server that is mine or can I start a new one

Go claim it but what shows there might be the old one.

You’ll probably need to delete ALL traces of the old server then start new.
( It will not show up in plex.tv until AFTER you claim it )

I found an old backup on the NAS in totally different area
