Confused about movie ratings

Hi guys,

I’m pretty confused about movie ratings. I went into my Movie library’s settings and saw that Rotten tomatoes was selected as the ratings source. Pretty sure I didn’t set that myself, as I would have chosen Imdb as the source. Anyway, I tried changing it to Imdb, and then refreshed a movie in the library, but I don’t see the ratings update at all. In fact it doesn’t even match the rating on rotten tomatoes so I have no idea where these rating are coming from. They really are all over the place.

For instance, the movie called “The Accountant”, which was added to my library just about a week ago, has a rating of 65% (as seen in the android client). Rotten tomatoes has ratings of 51% tomatometer and 80% audience score, IMDB has 7.5 and tmdb has 6.7.

I guess my two questions are:

  1. Where did the 65% score come from?
  2. How do I change it to the IMDB score (preferably for all movies)?

Thanks

PS. I never rated anything manually in plex, so it’s not my rating.

Bump, anyone?

It seems there’s a bug in plex. When you change the rating source, it doesn’t start using the new source.

I changed it from tmdb to imdb but it was still getting the tmdb ratings.

I followed the following linked instructions to clear the caches and settings: http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1230483/#Comment_1230483

Now it retrieves the ratings from imdb when I refresh. And the web interface shows a nice little imdb logo next to the rating
