Connect Plex with satellite TV

I’m in the US, and I have a dish that is oriented toward Galaxy 19 and connected to a receiver to watch Asian channels. I was planning to buy HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO and attach it to a plex server (on windows 10 machine) and use the DVR feature. But when I asked HDHomeRun Form, they said that it wouldn’t work because HDHomeRun made to just receive channels over the air (Local or cable channel).

My questions:

If I bought the following and attached it to my PC

  • Does the DVR feature (in Pleax) will work with satellite TV?
  • Will I get channels detection through this setup?

I already did read the article but it doesn’t help my because it’s about external OTV devices. I’m looking for PCI.

this is the list of all supported devices – there’s no list of devices connected via a different connector. sorry.
