Well, I have gone through all of the steps provided by plex and a rather unhelpful member of the plex team. I have also gone through explanations from here and online.
I have no idea what to do.
I have plex pass
My port is set to 32400. My server is connected. Everything is fine except for this message, “Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network”.
I have been trying to connect my account to my parents and they have received invites, so I’m pretty sure the problem is on my end.
Any help will be extremely appreciated,
Brad
The 1st step is to make sure, in your router, that you are PORTFORWARDING port 32400 for the IP Address of the machine that you have PMS installed on.
Can you post a screenshot of your router showing this setting?
Next is to make sure that inside of PMS you have port 32400 manually specified.

Make sure there is a check marked in the box shown in the picture above.
It looks exactly like that, with the exception that the Manual Port is clicked.
That covers step 2.
What about step 1 (your router)?
How do you make sure you are PORTFOWARDING?
What is the brand & model number of your router?
Take a look at this site, it walks you through setting up Portforwarding for your specific Router
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Technicolor/TC8305C/Plex_Media_Server.htm
Hey there. I followed all of the instructions and my remote access is still off.
Can you post a screenshot of the setting page of your router showing the PORTFORWARD?
Comparing your plex screenshot to your router screenshot, the IP addresses don’t match
Plex Screen = 10.0.0.4
Router Screen = 10.0.0.40
In your router you are portforwarding the wrong IP address, should be 10.0.0.4
well, everything is the way it’s supossed to be. I think this is just not going to happen.
So after correcting the IP issue did you go back into plex and click the RETRY button ?

Also are you using Jumbo Frames
, if so have you tried disabling them and switching back to standard 1500 MTU sizes.
Further, what is your hardware setup, relating to your ISP, is the Xfinity supplied by your ISP, and or do you have any other wifi routers in the mix which could possibly cause a Double-NAT
situation?
