My main server (AMD quad-core machine) has constant 25%CPU (1 core) from Plex Media Server.exe *32 in task manager. It doesn’t happen immediately when I start PMS, but some time later (in 10s of minutes) it begins and never ceases. I tried removing and old version of MS Visual C redist but that didn’t help, I removed an old folder from the plugins folder, but that didn’t help either. I’ve read and attempted most of the fixes in forum posts as well, hasn’t helped.

could it be your server is creating video preview thumbnails or optimizing media?
this can be quite a long task when you’re doing it the first time (and respectively lock up your CPU).
I don’t think so. After your post, I didn’t add any content for a weekish and it’s still 25% constantly.
I have guide listings enabled - could that do it?
