I have setup everything to share a library with someone. The server is accessible from the internet. I have invited someone and share a library which has content in it.
The invitation I send has been accepted by the receiving party.
Now from the invited user the library isn’t visible, how do I make the library visible there?
Is your server reachable from outside of your home network? That’s the first prerequsite.
You should verify that yourself, before inviting other people.
The invited user has to accept your invitation, by going to https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/profile and clicking on the “Requests” button.
No, you can’t do that for the user.
I recommend you to use an “incognito”/“private” web browser tab to test this.
Switch the left side bar into the “More…” mode.
Then you should see all servers of the user and all servers which are shared with him/her.
You can then “pin” all those libraries which shall be immediately accessible whenever the Plex client is opened.
P.S. the user has to use a real “Plex client”. A generic DLNA-compatible player software like it is available on most TV devices won’t work for remote access.
Thanks for your assistance. I got it working now. I had the second account in my Edge browser, my primary account in Chrome. But in Edge the “More…” option you mentioned isn’t there.
I have opened an incognito tab in Chrome, logged in with the second account and the “More…” option showed up. It has my server listed and I pinned it now.
I’ll get in touch with the person of the second account, he has a Philips OLED TV. It look liked the full Plex client, but I’ll let him check now.
