Just thought it’s worth mentioning there’s already two related (though, different) suggestions to improve the handling of key photos
- Conveniently choose photo album thumbail from album's own photos → user interface to pick one photo as key photo
- Support for cover picture for folders in Photo library → support for local media assets as separate cover/poster pics stored alongside your photos (though, separate)
