Having the issue again on a channel that I tuned to yesterday just fine. Channel 744. It will not load right now. Time was 08:54. I cannot get the data to upload :frowning:

Got it to load

@sa2000 Is there anything we can do here?

I now have the same issue. I had plex setup with a seagate NAS with a clearstream tv tuner. Streaming worked for 2 days. I added another clearstream tuner and I got could not tune channel error but the channel scans detects all of the channels. the clearstream software works fine with the devices. I deleted the tuners uninstalled the software on the NAS and started from scratch. I still get the could not tune channel with a “new” install. So I installed plex server on a completely new install of a windows 10 desktop. I installed the original tuner that had worked for 2 days and it scans the channels as in all my other attempts but gives the could not tune channel error. I saw this work for 2 days and now I cant get it to work on 3 different servers using 3 tuners.
I am hoping something happens to fix this.

It’ll work tomorrow… lol. Some days I get lucky, and the channels I use don’t have issues. then BAM can’t tune at all. Then the next day it’s completely fine again. I can restart the entire server, let alone just the docker image, and that doesn’t help. It’s like something is cached, and no matter what we do, it doesn’t get cleared up until the next day. It’s SOO frustrating!! And apparently Plex is ignoring me now. :frowning:

Yep-MSNBC has been unavailable now for two days.

I’m experiencing the exact same thing using a HDHomerun Prime. It works fine directly from HDHomerun, but Plex says it could not tune the channel so it is obviously a problem on Plex’s end. Without this feature it is worthless to me. I hope they find a fix for this, or they will lose a lot of customers.

im having a similiar issue but mine is not transcoding m3u8 streams yet it will play m3u and ts streams just fine - we really do need help emby is much easier to setup but the interface sucks in my opinion

mtstoll, there is a dev build in another thread that may take care of this issue finally. It is over here:

Dizzydmd. This doesn’t seem like the same issue as what we’ve talked about here? But yes if Plex can nail down these issues with livetv, they will win the internet…

I’m having the exact same issue. Can anyone from Plex please shed some light on this?

To me, it seems like there was a timeout. There is a beta build out ( 1.16.0.1226) and so far I have yet to have any issues. I think the team nailed it with this version. Things seem to be WAY more healthy now.

Hopefully after this version goes out to stable, this thread can close.

Keeping this thread alive as I am still having the same issue as everyone else for the past couple of months. I find it sad that paying customers are not getting a reply from PLEX Devs even acknowledging the problem.

I have this problem too. Scheduled recording is ok, but if i need play any channel = plex give me error “Could not tune channel. Please check your tuner or antenna”. (TVButtler USB tunner, oficially suported)

What version are you guys on?

First i has a standard channel version, now beta 1.16.2.1297 (3.106.3). Both versions no work.

What version of plex media server? The issue that it appeared to me was an issue on the server side. So what version of your plex server do you use. If you mean the normal VERSION in the options, then maybe try plexmediaserver-1.16.0.1226-7eb2c8f6f.x86_64

1.16.2.1297 sorry

 No worries. okay well shoot. Did you ever try 1226? while I think any of the 1.16’s should take care of this issue, it may worth a try.

If you haven’t, maybe reproduce the issue and post your verbose logs here. perhaps that may get the dev’s to take a look? Good Luck.

1.16.3.1402 server version with Hauppauge WinTV-DualHD stop working the TV & DVR

I also have this issue (HDHomeRun) … I bought lifetime PlexPASS just for this and what I am getting … canceled support for Czech Republic and non working tuner at all???

Same problem here. When I open a browser to the HD HomeRun I can just watch the channels that Plex isn’t able to tune to.

Ideas welcome…
