I am running PMS on an Intel NUC since several years. Everything was running fine since a long time and now suddenly PMS keeps crashing after a while (I can watch a few episodes, then it crashes).
What I did in the last few days: sadly quite a few things:
I updated to the newest Windows version (2020H2 I guess)
Updated to PMS 1.21.1.3876
Switched my main playback device from Apple TV 4k to NV Shield Pro 2019
I do see a few errors in the log but I have no clue what they would point atā¦any help would be much appreciated!
I donāt know if this helps but my plex is also crashing almost every night I have restart it every morning. I am on Version 1.21.1.3876 and it started after I updated to that⦠but I am also running it in TrueNas but it has never crashed before this version update so may be something different for me.
Sorry, I meant uninstall the Windows Plex Server - it will not run since the upgrade. trying to modify from the āAdd/Removeā programs fails, it also fails to repairā¦
Yep, āIn the vast majority of cases, running the āFix Itā will resolve the issue. Instructions are in the Microsoft article linked below.ā got it from the KB article! Thanks!!!
I had crashing on a NUC i7, turned off āUse hardware acceleration when availableā and āUse hardware-accelerated video encodingā and it seems more stable now. Hope that helps someone.
I have the same issue since some weeks, the server app closes down random during the day, then i need to restart the application on the server, sometimes i have to restart the system.
