Anyone in the UK (assume this is localised) have issues with LiveTV/DVR when using plex with an HDHomerun Connect Quatro?
I have my plex server on a Intel NUC running in a docker container on Ubuntu (this has just been moved from a Synology NAS, so assume this discounts the server being the problem!)… when a channel (let’s say BBC1 HD or C4 HD) switches their audio output from stereo to Dolby Digital (for eg when a film is transmitted, or currently when Wimbledon or a sport either goes to Dolby, or switched back to Stereo for the next programme) it either crashes the player completely, or playback goes really juddery and fast, or very slowly…resulting in a reboot needed, I presume it’s a problem switching back to the different bitrate… is anyone else experiencing these issues?
I am using a Nvidia Shield as a player and will try some tests with my older ATV to see if the same problem exists, however as the ATV messes with the audio anyway, and doesn’t bitstream out, the problem isn’t really appearing there … but I was just wondering if this was a known bug?
I also get similar freezes sometime, when going into ad breaks?
Could this be a plex player issue… I wanted to see if anyone had had similar issues before resetting my Shield back to factory and reinstalling plex player to see if that makes any difference?
