Windows 10 or later (64-bit only) Plex for Windows. I installed the latest version and decided not to do the wizard to setup my libray, and I then setup my account and when I started my plex server, it did not prompt me for setting up a library and I cannot find anywhere to set up one. I go to settings and nowhere there is it, and also on “your media”, I only see “get plex media server”. I had already installed it and it is running. Not sure why it takes me to download again. I also remove it and reinstalled after deleting all folders of plex on my use profile and in program files. But I did not get any wizard to setup my libray or setup plex media server. Please advise with new information from the new version and not from another version that did work. tks
Judging by the version number you gave above, you did not install ‘Plex Server’, but rather ‘Plex for Windows’ which is a pure Plex client and doesn’t include the server.
Download and install the server as well.
Make sure it is running and then use your web browser for the initial setup: http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
Thanks, that was it. Wrong one, once i installed plex media server for windows, it worked . Both are different versions, I missed that. Thanks again.
